The Malvern Hills boasts a spectacular landscape that is most famous for its spring water. Said to be naturally stripped of any impurities, it flows freely through the hills. However, clean water is not the only benefit these hills can provide.
Hundreds of people are attracted to Malvern for healthy pursuits such as walking, cycling and many other leisure activities. The beautiful scenery and perfect balance of steep and flat ground makes for the ideal base for cycling enthusiasts.
And cycling is a great way of witnessing incredible sights and the amazing views from the top of the Malvern Hills.
What makes Malvern so attractive to cyclists? Cycling world champion Evie Richards said: "Being around the Malvern Hills made it easy for me to train therefore allowing me to progress in cycling. I'm very lucky with all the mountain biking that the hills allow me to do."
Evie, who is aged 21, has achieved many things since her youth of cycling around the Malvern Hills and other places in Worcestershire. These include a silver award at the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games and a gold award at both the 2016 and 2018 U23 Cyclo-Cross World Championships.
The Malverns by Mountain Bike campaign that aims to 'encourage responsible mountain biking' on the hills, helps cyclists like Evie mountain bike on the hills so they can enjoy the experience 'in a way that protects this special place for the future'.
