Results from the RSPB's Big Garden Birdwatch are in and the most popular bird to be spotted in Worcestershire is once again the house sparrow.
Almost half-a-million people were brought together for the RSPB's Big Garden Birdwatch in January. Now in its 39th year, the Birdwatch helps people uncover the bird life in their garden and creates an annual snapshot of how UK birds are doing.
Over the UK, 420,489 people counted a staggering 6,764,475 birds. Following the house sparrow, the second most popular bird to visit Worcestershire gardens is the blue tit, which has moved up in the rankings, followed by the blackbird.
