Who Would You Like To See At King Johns Table?

A boyband heartthrob, Games of Thrones star and ultimate rock legend all sat round the same table. No, it's not the seating plan for the latest lavish celebrity awards evening, this is King John's Table and everyone you see around it is from Worcestershire.

These are the guys that well and truly put our county on the map. But if you don't like what you see, why not send us your dream dinner party?

It must have six famous faces around it. King John always stays in the middle of course.

We will then upload one of your World class guest lists for King John's Table and share it with the rest of Worcestershire. So get your thinking caps on

1. Robert Plant

Long haired rocker Plant was born in the Black Country but grew up in Kidderminster. He is best known, of course, as the lead singer of Led Zepplin. The 67-year-old is regarded as one of the greatest singers in the history of rock and roll. The Wolverhampton Wanderers fan is behind the well-known hits Stairway to Heaven and Whole Lotta Love. Plant has never lost touch of his Worcestershire roots and can sometimes turn up unannounced to watch local bands and singers perform in pubs and clubs in the county. And he's the patron of the Kidderminster-based MAS records - a label dedicated to promoting new talent from this area.

2. Fay Weldon

She's one of Britain's most influential and versatile writers. Fay originally comes from Alvechurch and is best known for her writing for stage, screen, opera, television and radio. She's written more than 30 novels since her first was published in 1969 and all have been translated into many world languages. One of her most famous novels, Life and Loves of a She Devil, was made into a major movie starring Meryl Streep and Roseanne Barr and was also adapted into a Bafta award-winning BBC television series. She received an Honorary Doctorate from the University of Worcester in 2011 for her outstanding accomplishments throughout her writing career.

3. Harry Styles

He's arguably the most popular One Direction band member (sorry Liam, Niall and Louis but it's true). Stud Harry, who was born in Redditch before living in Evesham briefly and then moving away with his family to Cheshire, is bound to bring his boyband charm to the party. And he's unlikely to turn down the invitation as he finds himself with a lot more time on his hands these days after 1D took a 'hiatus'. Harry, aged 22, is a superstar there's no doubt about it. 1D has released five albums and won several awards, including five Brit Award making them the biggest boyband on the planet. Harry is taking a different 'direction' now, set to star in action thriller Dunkirk alongside Tom Hardy and Kenneth Branagh.

4. Kit Harrington

Dressed as Jon Snow from the hit TV show Game of Thrones, Kit certainly doesn't look out of place alongside King John. Rough and rugged Kit moved to Worcestershire at the age of 11 with his family. In interviews, the 29- year-old calls Worcester his home and he has been known to still frequent a number of bars and pubs in the city proving he hasn't forgotten his roots even though he's a massive star now. Kit became a household name after Game of Thrones first aired in 2011. Millions of fans now tune in to watch each episode of the award winning show and its fan base seems to be growing by the day.

5. Jess Varnish

Jess is a Bromsgrove girl through and through. Unfortunately for talented Jess, 2016 hasn't been the best for her. In April she was dropped from the Great Britain cycling team amid claims of sexism and bullying. The 25-year-old attended South Bromsgrove High School and competed in cycling from the age of just 14. In 2012, she competed at the London Olympics and still hopes to go to Rio in August this year.

6. Charles Dance

Actor, screenwriter and film director Dante, aged 69, was born in Redditch. He's most recently starred in Game of Thrones as the character Tywin Lannister alongside Kit Harrington. He's also starred in Alien 3 and was a baddie in the James Bond movie For Your Eyes Only. We can't help but think conversations around the dinner table with Dance would have a rather serious tone.
