Neill Crump is arguably one of the fittest men working in Local Government. The fitness fanatic recently completed in Ironman 70.3 UK as part of the Worcester Triathlon Club and the team finished third.
This mammoth achievement means that the team has made it to through to the European, Middle East and African Ironman 70.3 finals in Barcelona next May. An amazing achievement and such a fantastic addition to Worcestershire's great line up of medals and sporting awards.
In addition to a 750-metre swim, 21km bike section and 5km run, Neil took ninth place in his individual category too.
Speaking to Neill it becomes quickly apparent that behind the winning, there is a need to improve more than just his physical fitness. Neill, whose father Tony passed away when he was only a teenager, has leaned on fitness and exercise to help overcome his day to day struggles.
Having been running and cycling for several years now, I asked Neil how others could get involved in fitness clubs such as the Worcester Triathlon Club.
